In the past, identification cards were made with simple paper. It has evolved. Today's identification cards are made of different materials, which have greater durability and flexibility than traditional paper.
If we are to name the most common material for creating a fake ID, then there are three main materials. These are PVC, Teslin and Polycarbonate. You will find out more about them in this article.
Before we get into the best false id websites that use the material to create ID cards, it is important that you understand what they are.
How are these materials used? We have a few explanations for each material used to make identification cards.
Today, Polycarbonate is used as the main material for North American driver's licenses. Many layers of 100% Polycarbonate sheets are used by the government to create the strongest card material.
Each layer and sheet in the card made from Polycarbonate have a different purpose. The front and back sheets are for protection and security printing. The sheet can also be detected by the optical sensor of various devices.
The modern ID card includes a sheet that can be used to attach the antennae or chips for detection. These combinations result in a card of high quality and top security. The printing of Polycarbonate cards is difficult because there are so many sheets. The information should be visible without blocking the card's features like the chip function and sensor.
ProsThe Polycarbonate card doesn't need adhesive to join layers or sheets together. This material is made up of microscopic hairs that fuse when heated and pressure are applied.
The assembling process is similar to the printing process which requires special skills. This composition however allows the ID card's durability to last at least ten year.
Teslin material is one of the most flexible surfaces. You can print any type of information on it using various printing options. It can be used with both dye-based inkjet printing and offset printing.
The ID card made from Teslin has a lower production cost than Polycarbonate. It is also easy to obtain, which makes it more affordable.
Many driver licenses in the United States still use Teslin materials. These cards are printed with detailed information using offset printing.
The protection feature is different from the Polycarbonate card. It uses micro-text, rainbow, and guilloche printing for Teslin cards. To protect the printed surface, it will need a laminated layer. You can also add additional protection to your card by adding embossing text and holographic lamination in the laminated layer.
ProsThe Teslin card is also not suitable for optical sensor safety features and barcode printing. Unfortunately, this material is still used in many driver licenses.
Many states still use the old manufacturing techniques, despite there being a Real ID Act which regulates ID card production. We believe it is time to switch to Polycarbonate as a better material and method to protect the ID cards that citizens have.
PVC's counterfeit protection is one of its best features. PVC is more difficult to replicate and forge than Teslin. Micro text is absent from the fake PVC. It also has a shorter line.
Inspectors can easily spot the fake one because it has yellow, magenta, and cyan colors. Although it is possible to obtain PVC material online for an ID card, it is not easy to create a perfect one.
PVC has less protection from counterfeit than Teslin but it is not the best option for ID cards with more protection. It is very easy to obtain. It is difficult to distinguish the fake card from the real thing. If you don’t have these, most people will believe the fake card to be the real thing.
As you can see, Polycarbonate is the best option for ID cards. Even though the ID card currently in use is not made from this material, the government is making efforts to make it so.
It is compatible with the Real ID Act where the card should be renewed every 5-10 years. The Polycarbonate ID card has a longer lifespan which will ensure that information printed on it doesn't get lost. It can also protect the cardholder's identity.
